The Boston Collaborative for Food & Fitness has eleven working committees.
These committees guide the purpose of the Collaborative, oversee the operation of the Collaborative, and determine the priorities and projects of the Collaborative. 
All committees are volunteer-based and welcome interested members.

Steering Committee is the governing body of BCFF. With representation for all working committees, one of their main tasks is to develop an organizational structure that will successfully carry BCFF through the planning phase and into implementation. Community Resource Committee
identifies and reaches out to potential new members and partners, while maintaining relationships with current organizational and individual members, and has responsibility for developing and implementing strategies to engage youth and community residents in BCFF. Evaluation Committee

Food Committee identifies ways to improve access to affordable, healthy and locally grown food for all Boston residents. From developing questions to be used in community assessments to reviewing existing data and educating the collaborative about food systems and related issues, the Food Committee is working on developing strategies of change to transform Boston’s food system. Fitness Committee identifies ways to ensure that all Boston residents have the opportunity to be physically active and play. Fund Development Committee identifies available resources, develops and implements fundraising strategies and fund distribution procedures, and tracks in-kind donations to the collaborative.  Contact: Karen Spiller / kaspiller@yahoo.com

Policy Committee works in conjunction with other committees in an effort to identify food and fitness policy targets, educate collaborative members about policy issues and advocacy, and identify opportunities to participate in the development of support of new policies and/or legislation. The BCFF Youth Board (YAB) is composed of youth from various neighborhoods of Boston. The YAB has representatives on the BCFF Steering Committee, on working committees, and is responsible for identifying and implementing a group project to address citywide issues related to food and/or fitness.Their current focus is on improving school food.
